Favourite Tools

  • Acorn Seam Align fabric glue
  • Elmers fabric glue, special cap "fineline" 2 in a package
  • For paper piecing - "Stable Stuff Poly" by Ricky Tims, it can go through a laser printer, can leave in the quilt, once washed it dissolves
  • Creative Grids - stripology ruler for cutting many strips of fabric quickly and accurately
  • "Ergo Cutter" rotary blades tend to last longer than regular rotary cutters
  • Best Press and Flatter spray starch alternative 
  • ORM Kraft, a Canadian company, wool pressing mats, rotary blades, and cutting mats
  • Oliso Iron, has lift and automatic shut off, the Oliso mini does not have lift or automatic shut off but is great for travel
  • Revolution Wool Co. wool ironing mats
  • Hera marker - used with a ruler to press lines into your "quilt sandwich" to mark it for quilting
